When appointed to handle PR for Greenwood Air Management in 2003, Matanle Public Relations’ brief was to raise the profile of the Greenwood Airvac and Greenwood Window Vents brands with specifiers (principally architects and housing developers) and to increase awareness and the level of quotations for environmental central ventilation and central extract systems in the private sector housing market.
In the eleven months from February 2003 to December 2003, the Matanle Public Relations PR campaign generated just over 2,400 sales enquiries, more than doubling the number received during 2002. This rate of sales enquiries was maintained during 2004 and 2005 despite less favourable market conditions, with dramatically increased sales enquiry levels for central ventilation and central extract products, and fewer for fans and vents.
Feature articles written by Ivor Matanle (though often appearing under the by-line of a member of the Greenwood Airvac management) appeared in a number of key publications reaching specifiers.
Quotations for central ventilation and central extract systems increased by a factor of almost ten. At least 40% of all sales enquiries received by the company during 2005 resulted from PR editorial.
Previously, Matanle PR had handled successful campaigns for the blowers and air knife products of Air Control Industries and for Barlo Heating.
